Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 1 is out folks! Let’s take a quick look at what Vinland Saga Season 2 is about.

Another millennium had begun in the Jutland peninsula in Denmark. Ketil bought a slave Thorfin and made him work on his farm. Thorfin got to meet another slave like him named Einar. After meeting him, Thorfin realized all his crimes and sins and started looking for the meaning of life and death. Canute became the new king of England, and he wants to expand his territory to create the promised land.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 1 Plot

The episode starts when Einar is chopping a tree in the forest. He says he is training for war. He discloses that the village in which he was living was currently built after the last invasion. He protected the people of his village and took revenge for his father who died while fighting. He then asks his mother if she was unhappy with her disturbed life, but he replied that not everything is lost. She still hopes of living a decent life.

The episode moves forward. The village was again attacked, and the houses were burnt. Everyone was running. Einar his mother and his sister were running fast, but unfortunately, his mother shot an arrow and she fell. She asked her children to run but they stayed back. One of the men attacked his sister but she was able to protect herself. But Einar was dragged by the attackers. The attackers intended to sell him in exchange for money.

Einar was sold and he was traveling on the sea. He was in fear all through the journey. He understood that protesting against the harsh treatment will only make his life hell. He decides to face the situation and not die.

As soon as he landed on the land, he saw that the slaves were groomed for sale. In between the situation, Einar runs away from the place to escape the situation and steals some food from the cottage. But eventually, he was caught and beaten badly. He was shown as an example to other slaves that if they tried to escape from the slave traders, then they won’t be excused. While getting beaten, Einar remembers his commitment to living anyhow.

Leif comes to the slave market, and he suddenly sees Einar. He misunderstood Einar with Thorfinn and asked the trader to release him. But the trader knew he was not. Leif then apologizes to Einar and leaves. The traders tried to sell Einar to Leif but he was not interested in buying slaves.

After Leif leaves, a large blonde man shows up and after some investigation, he learned that he was a farmer. He asks Einar if he wanted to help him in the fields. Einar agreed. Einar was surprised to see a huge land farm. The new owner called him Thorfinn.
