Produced by Doga Kobo animation studio for its first installment, this charming story of friendship has won over fans all around the world. On April 14th of 2021, the first episode of this series aired, allowing viewers to experience its content. Over two and a half months later, after releasing twelve episodes in total, this show concluded on June 30th.
How Osamake Season 2 Light Novels Differ From The Anime Series
On June 8th, 2019, Shūichi Nimaru and Ui Shigure officially began serializing their popular LN Series. Through Doga Kobo studios, the series has been condensed to fit into an episodic format with a total of eight volumes released so far. With this adaptation, viewers can enjoy this heartwarming story in both novel and anime form! Compared to the source material, there were no dramatic alterations.
Instead, only a few conversations were omitted, and its pacing was retained throughout – with one book being allotted for every three episodes of the series.
By the season finale, all content from the first four volumes had been utilized. Fortunately for fans, Studio Doga Kobo still has four more books to draw from to create a second installment of Osamake. Making another season would not only be welcomed but could maintain its original pacing as well!

Osamake’s debut season may have received so-so reviews from critics, but viewers gave it their unequivocal approval! Its engaging yet uncomplicated plotline was more than enough to win over the hearts of its audience. By the series’ end, Osamake had become one of the most popular shows, with an impressive MAL group membership that surpassed 185K and a remarkable MyAnimeList ranking at #937 in popularity.
Despite garnering only an average score on MyAnimeList (6.12), this beloved anime series is adored by many and has earned itself another shot at renewal!
With abundant source material and ongoing LN series, the renewal of Osamake is almost a guarantee. As such, fans have nothing to fear – Studio Doga Kobo will eventually announce Season 2. However, the creators are likely to take their own sweet time in examining everything thoroughly before making it official.
