Miraculous Ladybug Season 6 Release Date, Recap, Plot, Cast and Where to Watch

What started as a leaked video in the name of Ladybug PV, has now made its way to its very own CGI series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, also known as Miraculous Ladybug. Due to its ever-rising popularity, Fans are already expecting Miraculous Ladybug Season 6.

The trailer of this show was created by Toei Animation house in order to convince the other developers of the show that it should be done in a Japanese anime art style. Even though that plan did bear much fruit, the anime eventually ended up becoming a CGI-style series. Instead of making the show in an anime style, the crew went with the CGI version, which gave way to fewer technical problems and felt more natural.

Miraculous Ladybug Season 6 Plot

The story revolves around the life and adventures of two teenagers, Marinette and Adrien. In modern-day Paris. whenever they get a sense that evil is lurking somewhere, they transform into their superhero personas- Ladybug and Cat Noir respectively, using magical jewels known as ‘Miraculouses’.

The main antagonist of the show is Gabriel Agreste, who is also Adrien’s father. Just like the supervillain Hawk Moth, he tries to claim Ladybug and Cat Noir’s Miraculous jewels, for his own selfish gains. With the help of the jewels, Gabriel creates ‘akumas’, which are butterflies infused with negative energy. With the help of that, he wants to “akumatize” (mind control) Paris’ everyday citizens, the local people, turning them into supervillains, whenever they fall trapped in their own negative emotions and thoughts. With the Hawk Moth’s powers increasing day by day, Master Wang Fu, the Guardian of the Miraculous, gives permission to Ladybug, to borrow different Miraculouses and recruit her other classmates and friends as superheroes.

The Monarch attempts to catch the hero himself, but he is accidentally left with a scar that slowly spreads through his body. Realizing his days are numbered, he turns the Miraculouses into special rings, enabling him to give his supervillains the powers of the Miraculous to make them stronger. The story of the show thus, revolves around friendship, fighting for what is love, and getting to terms with your true feelings.

Miraculous Ladybug Season 5 Recap

With the story so far, we get back to the nerve-wracking fight between the Monarch, Cat Noir, and Ladybug. The Monarch uses the Rabbit Miraculous to defeat Ladybug and Cat Noir in the past. A lot of scenes shown here, show time travel and more. Cat Noir in order to catch the Monarch, takes her Miraculous and fuses with it to become “Rabbit Noir”, then follows Monarch through time. On the other hand, the Monarch collapses due to using too many ‘Miraculouses’, so Ladybug takes the Rabbit Miraculous, but he retrieves it.

Ladybug and Cat Noir are soon scolded by Su-Han, as they failed to protect the Miracle Box. He later apologized for his harshness and goes to gather reinforcements. As Félix activates the Peacock Miraculous and meets Duusu, it’s kwami. Gabriel tries to force the kwamis to reveal Ladybug’s identity. When they refuse to do so they cryptically lead him to Marinette’s room. Later in the story, Gabriel traps the kwamis in cages and changes their Miraculouses into unique Alliance rings that allow him to give his villains Miraculous powers.

With the intensity of their feelings growing day by day, and many more adventures on their way, Adrien and Marinette still cannot seem to express their feelings for one another, even after their friends coax them to do so. Marinette’s friends continue to try to get her and Adrien to confess, despite her clumsiness. On the other hand, Adrien and Kagami’s parents try to force their children together. At last, slowly but soon enough, both of them reaffirmed their feelings for other.
