The story is about young boys, Masaru Saiga, Narumi Kato, and Shirogane, who had to struggle to save the world from the Zonapha syndrome.

Karakuri Circus Season 1 Plot
Narumi Katou is suffering from Zonapha syndrome. He is a middle-aged man. This syndrome causes one to tolerate severe seizures at random, which can be cured only when the person sees anyone laughing. One day, at his work, he runs into a young boy, who was running away from the three-adult people. He was Masaru Saiga, the new owner of Saiga enterprises, whose father had recently died. His family members are trying to kill him too so that they can capture his fortune. This led Narumi to help him, and he fought with them to save the child. He learned that they are sentient humanoid puppets with superhuman strength. Narumi was helped by Shirogan, who claimed to be Masaru’s family.
