The light novel How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom is a creation of Dojyomaru and illustrated by Fuyuyuki. Seventeen volumes of the light novel are released as of April 2022. The manga adaptation of the same was released on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website on July 10, 2017. Nine volumes of the manga have been released as of now.

A young man, Kazuya Souma, a humanities student training to be a civil servant, is suddenly transported into another world. Albert Elfrieden, the king of the Elfrieden Kingdom, summoned him into the same. The king hands over his responsibility to Kazuya. The news was a thunderclap to KazuFurtherm, he is informed that he will be marrying the daughter of King Alb. Kazuya’s main mission is to improve the worsening economy of the Country. He plans to rebuild the kingdom with good systems. He finds skilled, capable citizens for the proposed reform.

Future bride of the new King, Kazuya Soum, and daughter of Albert. Liscia was a supporter of Kazuya Souma from the beginning.
Aisha Udgard
She serves as a Bodyguard of Kazuya Souma and later develops an interest in him.

A Dragon belonging to the Star Dragon Mountain Range. Naden Delal is wings devoid and was often ostracized because of the same. She is decided as the fifth and final fiancée of Kazuya Souma.

The last episode of Part 1 had a peaceful end. Jeanne, the sister of Maria Euphoria, meets Kazuya. Jeanne finds Kazuya excellent and amusing. She asks Kazuya to pardon her for her misinterpretation. Kazuya does not hold any grudge against the empire. Jeanne still pointed out that his invasion and power were still illegal. Kazuya is urged to answer Maria. Later, Kazuya returns home with Tomoe and Juna and gives gifts to Aisha and Liscia.
