The plot of the anime takes place on an Earth covered in a dark forest. The inhabitants of this post-apocalyptic society have a disease that makes their bodies burn anytime they are near a bonfire. Among the survivors of the last human conflict, there are rumors of a Firecatcher Lord as well. Touko, a young woman who was raised in a hamlet, is one of the two primary protagonists.
Koushi, a former pupil in a major metropolis, is another. The course of the universe is drastically altered by the main characters’ meeting, even though they shouldn’t have.
