the third episode of Do It Yourself! opens with the introduction of Juliet, who is a typical tsundere who is aware of her preferences yet reluctant to express them. Although Juliet may have a kind heart, she may be aloof, irritable, and harsh, and she first shows little interest in the DIY club.
Yua and her companions find it strange that a person of this caliber even transferred to their traditional school, but Juliet makes no attempt to defend herself. Instead, this bright but melancholy 12-year-old mocks the DIY club, echoing Miku’s assertion that DIY carpentry is antiquated and ineffective. Rei takes exception to that and engages in a physical altercation with Juliet, chasing the younger girl away. The situation is stressful right now, and Yua is unsure of what to do.

Yua Serufu doesn’t participate in the DIY club much in episode 2 of Do It Yourself! mostly because Rei doesn’t trust this well-intentioned but extremely clumsy girl with power tools. Yua may be a carefree young lady who seldom makes plans, but in this situation, she must carefully consider her options and always act with a purpose in mind.
In episode 2, Yua and her buddy Takumi come up with endearing new ideas for the growing DIY club, including a seat cleverly constructed out of used skis. They also come up with fresh ideas for how to recruit new members, like a colorful tile-based sign that appeals to ladies. Yua and Takumi made care to highlight the “cute” element of the club first in order to get students to sign up because the group initially appears to be uninteresting. It won’t be simple persuading three more students to join this traditional group in a world of AI-driven buses and cutting-edge computers, but Yua and Takumi will go to any lengths to keep the DIY club alive.
