In July 2022, it was announced that Dark Gathering Anime will be adapted into an anime. A fresh update has been posted to Sheuisha’s official page, revealing the release date. Many people have stopped reading manga in the hopes of seeing an anime adaptation since then. Fortunately, the release date is almost approaching.
The project is being carried out by Studio OLM. Yes, it is the same studio responsible for the Pokemon franchise. Odd Taxi, OLM’s most recent hit, topped the charts in 2021.The soundtrack will be overseen by Kohta Yamamoto, Shun Narita, and Yusuke Seo. Nagata also serves as the art director. Ritsuko is in charge of the color scheme. Kohei also serves as the sound director. The anime’s main protagonists will be Yayoi, Keitaro, and Eiko.

The story revolves around Keitaro, a young guy who is cursed oddly. He has an instinctive curiosity about the mystical. However, in Junior High, Keitaro unintentionally possessed a ghost of his friend. During this time, he had an injury, which prompted him to seek spiritual guidance. This episode triggered his major depression. And he became a recluse. He despised ghosts ever since and wished to exterminate them. The plot begins when he meets Yayoi, a lovely nine-year-old girl with two sets of students.
She pursues evil spirits. As a result, Keitaro rapidly connected with her. Her major purpose is to capture the evil ghost that kidnapped her mother. When she died, the wicked spirit prevented her mother’s soul from passing on. These two will embark on an odd trip to find them. One would suppose the principle is similar to Pokemon, however, they will collect spirits instead of Pokemon. The plot, on the other hand, is filled with terror and gore.

The 52nd issue of Shueisha’s Jump SQ revealed the November 28, 2022 release date. Dark Gathering Anime is scheduled to premiere in 2023. The anime series will premiere throughout the summer season.
