The two protagonists, Matsuri Kazamaki and Suzu Kanade are childhood besties. They are connected due to a reason. They both had the ability to see Ayakashi-youkai. Matsuri thinks that every ayakashi is a threat and danger to Suzu, while Suzu is neutral.
The two of them struggled with a talking cat, Shirogane. Shirogane was 400 years old ayakashi, also known as King of ayakashi. Suzu and Matsuri are not aware of this fact. Shirogane tried to attack Suzu with its powers, but Matsuri saves her. But then something unexpected happened. The ayakashi turned Matsuri into a girl.
Matsuri promised her that no matter what, he’ll take care of her. But after turning into a girl, he struggled at every step. It was not easy to adjust to a new gender and in society. Suzu, who had one-sided feelings for him, must change her mind. The struggle of Matsuri as a girl continued.
The plot and the setting of the series are commendable. The unexpected twist in a humorous way keeps the audience engaged with the scenes and episodes. Also, the comic timings in the dialogues just hit the point. This makes Ayakashi Triangle a must-watch series by everyone.
